My parents took us to Florida over Thanksgiving week to celebrate my Dad's
retirement. We went to Walt Disney World, Epcot, Universal Studios,
and Islands of Adventure. It was me & Mike, my parents, my sister
Kelly, her husband Dan & my 3 nephews, and another couple & their
2 kids.
There are a lot of pictures on this page, so if you get an empty box with
just an X in it, right-click on the box and select Show Picture, and the
picture will appear.
Before you get to the pictures, a funny story . . . . .
On Tuesday, Mike and I went to Epcot by ourselves ~ everyone else went to
Sea World. We were standing in line waiting to get our ticket, and
I noticed that my left foot felt different than my right foot & glanced
down. For a second it didn't register, then it clicked ~ I was wearing
2 different shoes!!! Not even like 2 sneakers that look similar ~ 2
completely noticeably-different sandles. I was horrified! I
pointed it out to Mike and we both burst into uncontrollable laughter.
I WAS horrified . . . . but it was so funny, I HAD to laugh at myself.
We were laughing so hard, when we went up to the counter, the woman said,
"Alright you two, what's so funny?" I told her, and then she started
cracking up. She was trying to be nice, but couldn't help but laugh,
especially since Mike & I hadn't gained our composure yet.
Anyway, I looked in a couple gift shops hoping that maybe I'd find a pair
of flip-flops or SOME type of shoe/sandle to buy ~ but nothing. I walked
around Epcot looking like an idiot with 2 different shoes all day.
It actually led to a very good day, because we couldn't help but laugh over
it the entire day. Every time one of us would forget about it, the
other would crack a joke & we'd start laughing over it again.
Oh yeah . . . WHY I was wearing 2 different shoes. My feet hurt after walking
around Disney all day on Monday. So Tuesday morning, I put on one of
2 different types of sandals to see which was more comfortable. No
sooner did I put them on, then I completely forgot about them. Not
only did I not notice, but 12 other adults/children in our group didn't
notice as I walked around before loading up the van & heading out.

My Feet ~ yes, this is how I walked around all day!
